With the rapid development of computer technology and information technology,the workshop digital manufacturing, information management has drawn increasingattention. As an integrated system, production information platform makes up theintervals between the business plan layer and production process control system,breaks the black-box in operation of the production site. The workshop’s productivityand flexibility can be improved by the production information platform in the waythat displaying workshop production status in real time, adjusting operationsaccording to the production plan, and analyzing statistical data of productionschedules. Focusing on key parts’ characteristics of water production facilities andproduction process of workshop, in this paper, production information platform forkey parts and components of water production facilities which includes analyzingsystem architecture, database structure and function module in detail has beendeveloped, combining with the bar code management technology. The main researchcontent is as follows:1. According to production information platform’s requirements analysis, theentire workshop’s business model and parts manufacturing process are planned, andproduction information platform network structure and function modules are designed,completing the overall planning of production information platform.2. Relational database for production information platform are designed. Basedon information structure tree to build data flow, and on this basis, the conceptualdesign, logical design and physical design for database are completed.3. Information classification for production information platform is completedand according to the product information structure tree, the bar coding rules are made.According to Code-128compilation rules, code generation module is developed withVisual Basic6.0. Under Wince system architecture, collection terminal software forproduction data of underwater facility is developed with Microsoft Visual Studio2005C#, achieving client and server database synchronization technology, tracking theprogress of parts processing,and providing basic data for entire workshop’sproduction schedule statistics.4. The produce information platform is developed with Visual Basic6.0. Theoperating authority of production information platform are Planned, document information management module, parts processing information management module,program information management module, production equipment informationmanagement module are developed, and interface development of the correspondingsoftware modules are completed, at last, the production information platform for keyparts and components of water production facilities is verified with experiment.In conclusion, the workshop production quality, production efficiency andmanagement level can be improved by the development of subsea productioninformation platform, which has guidance for digital manufacturing and informationmanagement of workshop.
