Lean Six Sigma is a advanced production management pattern derived from leanproduction and six sigma. This management mode mix together the advantage of two s and atthe same time it avoidable the two s deficiencie. Lean Six Sigma is a method of qualityimprovement, moreover it has already developed into a management concept to improvecompany continuously and to enhance comprehensive competitive ability and to improvecustomer satisfaction continually.This thesis systematically illustrates the application practices of lean six sigma in hotrolling mill of L company. At first, the application premise administration model systemconstruction and project management method of lean six sigma are introduced in the hotrolling mill of L stainless-steel company. Secondly, a detailed analysis on the DAMICprocess in lean six sigma is shown.MeanwhiIe,one of the black belt projects of improvingthe thickness correnctness of stainless steel hot rolling sheet is provided to show theapplication practices of six sigma in quality improving aspect of hot rolling mill as anexample.Finally,the conclusion of the application of lean six sigma in hot rolling mill is given toprovide some references for other metallurgical companies implementing lean six sigma.
