Today people’s health and quality of life demand are increasing, which also led to therapid development of the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical industry has becomean important part of the modern economy. The pharmaceutical industry has a high qualityrequirements and technical updates fast, so pharmaceutical projects not only need to meetthe good quality, but also need to focus on the project progress control. Only by this waythe project can play its best return on investment.Engineering design is the premise and foundation of the entire pharmaceuticalprojects, it is also be a core content of the project management and project progresscontrol. The research background in this paper is about the Engineering design of LCpharmaceutical project in S company. At first author pointing out the current problems ofdesign progress in LC project, and introducing the critical chain project managementtechnology to improve the project progress management. After summing up the domesticand foreign research of the CCPM, and combined with the actual situation of LCpharmaceutical project. The author uses the heuristics methods to identify critical chains, and uses elastic coefficient method which based on PERT to calculate the buffer, anddevelop a design progress control improvement scheme based on CCPM. In theimplementation process, by setting the buffer monitoring parameters to monitor the timeconsuming of buffer, and evaluating the effect of the design progress control. Finallysummarize proved that use CCPM for design progress management is more effective thanPERT/CPM methods.Design progress control is the Emphasis and difficulty in pharmaceuticalengineering project management. the conclusions of this study can provide experience toother projects in S company.
