Research And Development Of Bloom Caster Integrated Design And Its Software System

Integrated design for conticaster, which is a new concept proposed in the design ofcasting engineering in recent years, mainly includes roller layout design and its checkcalculation, strand solidification heat transfer calculation, water distribution and castingresistance calculation. It provides design basis for the unit design of machine, and makesthe design of conticaster sequential and systematic. It can increase the design level,accelerate the design process and reduce design mistakes and repetition, has been widelyrecognized in the industry.With the improvement of computer hardware, programming languages, and castingprocess and design technology, the functions of the integrated design program ofcontinuous casting run in small-size computers can not meet current design requirements.Therefore, it is of great significance to develop a new full-featured, convenient andreliable integrated design program for the bloom caster with the object-oriented computerlanguage Visual C#to ensure the quality of integrated design for conticaster, reduce thedesign time and improve the design efficiency.Based on the theories of integrated design for conticaster, a convenient and efficientvisual software BilletcastCAD for bloom caster integrated design is developed with theVisual C#. Through the input of basic design premise data, strand solidification heattransfer calculation, roller layout design and its check can be implemented by theprogramme, and the function of the software to draw the roller layout diagram of theconticaster is relized by means of secondary development of AutoCAD. The design basedon the trial calculation show good agreement with the roller layout of casters in operation,and can meet requirements. Therefore, the software can be used in practical design.Integrating design calculation, check and drawing, the integrated design program forconticaster can improve the efficiency of the designer and has certain practical value dueto its strong engineering applicability and expansibility.
