Research And Development Of Integrated Design Of Round Bloom Caster And Its Software System

Integrated design is a new arrival in recent years accompanied by the development of modern engineering project. It is different from craft designing, and cannot be replaced by that.The foundation of this concept is helpful in improving the quality and speed in the aspect of complete sets equipment design.Featured by complex structure, high-standard technique and broad scope, round billet continuous casting equipment is a kind of modern complete set, the design level of which is closely related to the quality, quantity and economic benefits of its product.The task of integrated concepts includes the selection and the arrangement of the major equipment,calculation and check of roller layout based on integrated design theory.With the huge development of computer science, the capacity and calculation speed had been greatly improved. So does the continuous casting technique. Obviously, the steel design software in the past can’t satisfy the current need any more.So,c onsidering current designing technologies of continuous round billet machine,it is necessary to import new techniques to exploit a novel designing-software for continuous casting roud billet.This paper,using the newest computer language,Visual C#,based on the design theory of the whole continuous casting machine,a novel designing-software Round Cast CAD for round billet continuous casting was developed,which contains various interferces,via redeveloping the Auto CAD software,roller apron model’s automaticly drawing can be realized.This software has the ability to design a roller apron model according the parameters you insert,moreover,it can also analysis and verify the roller apron model by the inserted sub-software(continuous casting round billets‘ heat transfer process analysis),lastly,Optimized model of roller apron may be established.This designing-software for the whole bloom caster for rounds machine,gives designers a chance to avoid complicated calculations during the process of designing and checking,which previously simplifles designers’ work and make it more efficiently,moreover,designing-results becomes more accurate and reliable,what’s more this software can be extended to have more functions,so it presents objective using value.
