The rubber mixing is the first process of tire production is a key process inmechanical properties, mixed refining equipment directly affects the quality of rubbermaterial, thus affecting the quality and service life of tire. With the advent of newmaterials and new technology, traditional mixing equipment not only can realizeonline exhaust are heating up too fast, the mixing efficiency is low, high energyconsumption and disadvantages.Emergence of tandem type mixer is a good solutionto these problems.Based on lots of literatures, the kneading mechanism of series type mixer wasstudied,and designed a new rotor. On this basis, this paper does lots of research andexperiment, the finished work is as follows:1.Based on the traditional mixer from the theory of viscous and viscoelastic solidtheoryof tandem type mixer mixing and dispersing mechanism is analyzed. From themixing process, unique rotor configuration and excellent thermal conductivity threemajor technical characteristics of the new rotor in detail. At the same time, we alsoproposed a new rotor mixing mechanism and analyzes the mixing process of modelrotor.2.According to the previous experimental and theoretical research, based on thetraditional shear rotor and meshing rotor on the design of model rotor has theadvantages of two kinds of rotor together.3.A physical model, a new rotor mathematical model and finite element model,using POLFIOW to model the rotor mixing process are simulated, and analyze thehybrid index, shear rate, velocity field and viscosity field model rotor.4.Sets of experiments to develop programs to engage the rotor mixingperformance of the original and new rotors were compared. Under the conditions ofvarious process parameters on the mixer test, the experimental results obtained, theinfluence of the strength, wear, etc. in different operating conditions, the two rotorsfor Mooney stretch for later the experiments provide evidence and recommendations.5.The experimental results show that, compared to the experimental results ofthe two rotors can be seen in the newly developed areas of the rotor rubber Mooney,tensile strength, abrasion and the like has greatly improved, such a rotor can be described in a later be applied in production.
