Extensive use of waste PET bottles brought environmental issues of concern, recycling and re-use multi-channel have become a hot research and a must for sustainable development. This paper studies the recycled PET and polyolefin blends modified by post-blending performance improved, so as to achieve the purpose of reuse.To maximize the value of using regrind PET bottle, first studied qualitatively various parts of the material. According to the analysis of DSC, FIR and MI test results we know that:The main material of the cap is high density polyethylene with the higher molecular weight; The main materials of the label used primarily for two categories, one is polypropylene; other is polyvinyl chloride.As thermal oxidative degradation and water degradation occurs in the recycling process of PET, it needs to be modified with chain extenders. Hexamethylene diisocyanate, and pyromellitic dianhydride, and two were associated with an epoxy resin is used as a chain extender in this paper, the intrinsic viscosity and average molecular weight are tested. The results show that they reached a certain thickening effect, and combined with the better.RPET and polyolefin blend were modified after the chain extension, through the analysis of mechanical properties, non-isothermal crystallization kinetics, rheology and crystal morphology, examining the affect of compatibility agents, nucleating agents and toughening to the blends. The results showed that:PP-GMA is a preferably compatibilizer to the rPET/rPP blend,10%is the best optimal dosage; AS the nucleating agent, NA-11improves the impact strength of rPET/rPP, and0.1%is the best optimal dosage. To rPET/rHDPE blend, the best mass ratio with the preferably mechanical properties is3:7; HDPE-MAH played a better compatibility role in the blends and its optimum dosage is8%; EVA added improved the mechanical properties of the blend, especially the notched impact strength increased by about1.5times.After adding20%~40%of recycled PET, the flat yarn strength of the flat yarn is improved to meet the requirements of weaving, The recycling process of rPET in energy-free drying and the rPET/rPP and rPET/rHDPE flat yarn preparation technology in energy-saving are used, they greatly reduce the costs of rPET-recycling and flat wire manufacturing, which brings the enterprise benefits and social benefits of huge.
