In recent several years, with the rapid development of domestic heavy truck automotive industry, the demand for auto parts is growing up. With the improvement of technology, study of advanced equipment and the variation of human resources, crankshaft manufacturing technology is gradually mastered by more and more companies. More processing manufacturers enter into the field. The auto parts supply market will be more competitive.How to gain a firm foothold in the strongly competitive market even further expand the market share? It requires us to be familiar with the customer’s ultimate concern:stable product quality, lower procurement costs, timely delivery of orders, and perfect after-sales service. Under the premise of meeting customer’s quality, we will reduce manufacturing costs and improve product value. The most significant method of reducing cost is to improve the production efficiency. Companies always make the appropriate research and applications by theoretical study. Industrial Engineering was set up in the United States in the early twentieth century. After several years of development, it has been more perfect development in some industrial countries. The research of Engineering Theory has been very good use in the world of companies. China began to study Industrial Engineering only from the early1980s. Now we still continue to learn, practice and improve it.Based on the present situation that the company workshop production can’t achieve promotion in this article, We performed this study using IE "seven methods" and "four principles" combined with the actual conditions of the site to achieve the purpose that we will be familiar with engineering theory and improve the workshop production to solve the actual problem.We regarded the16000T forging line as study object and reduced the cycling time from68m/p to60m/p.With the action analysis and time analysis, we made the relative improvement action and had a implement. Finally we finished the study and improvement and achieved the more benefit and more experience for study on efficiency improvement in the future.
