Spinning operation is the final process in ring spinning of single yarn. Yarn qualitydirectly affects winding, weaving, finished product and so on. The yarn production andquality are the basis indicator for evaluating spinning technology and management level. Yarnquality fluctuation, induced by yarn breakage, increase the labor intensity by frequentlyjointing. Yarn quality fluctuation also causes plenty of defects in fabric and downgrade thecloth quality. Meanwhile, yarn breakage is often not dealt with in time, it will lead directly tothe extra waste of raw material, lower production and lower efficiency, affecting the economicbenefits of enterprises. Therefore, how to control yarn breakage rate becomes an indicator ofthe production technology, how to detect broken yarn is the premise of the spun yarn joint,and how to detect broken yarn is also an indicator of management level. For the lack ofadvanced technology and equipment, the domestic textile enterprises remain backward in themanagement of yarn breakage. Traditional monitoring method for broken yarn detection ismanual inspection. Operators find broken yarn and handle it through walking around thespinning frame, which occupies the most of the working time. Fatigue working not onlyaffects the motivation of workers, but also impact their healthy. In addition, yarn breakage israndom, yarn breaking position or time can not be forecast. So manual inspection isincreasingly unable to meet the needs of yarn breaking management. A system of monitoringyarn breakage used in the textile industry is a humanized product that can achieve automaticmonitoring of yarn breakage in spinning.By researching the characteristics of advanced monitoring technology, developingmonitoring devices innovatively on the basis of existing programs to meet the domesticmarket needs of yarn breakage. By learning domestic and foreign technology, confirmingmonitoring program: monitoring the state of motion with photoelectric sensors and achievingstatus by discriminating traveler motion. Firstly, the photoelectric sensors turn optical signalwhich is influenced by yarn into electrical signal. The initial signals of peripheral circuits ismanipulated through filtering, amplification, and threshold, then the final signal is output tothe microcontroller. The microcontroller counts the input signal. When the counting valuebelow a certain value, the microcontroller turns the alarming light on. The structured programof yarn monitoring system in this paper is simulated by Proteus to prove the feasibility.Secondly, determining the important parameters of yarn breakage monitoring system bysimulation and establish a theory of reference for electronic components,and the C1range is1/2R3f<C1<t/2R3, parameters resistor R5range from20K to40K.Finally, further verify the feasibility of the program through the operation on the Frame EJM128K and FA507B. Theresults show that the developed ring yarn breakage monitoring system can deal with differentspinning background and parameters and the detection head shows well robustness.The preliminary function realization of yarn breakage monitoring system lays thehardware basis for a single spindles more refined management and provides a reference oftheory and practice for the prosperity of yarn breakage monitor in the domestic market.
