The coal is the main natural resource in our country and the coal industry now is in a rapid development period. However, the mine is under ground where the conditions are poor. Besides the scattered work space, the narrow tunnels and the working area which are surrounded by poisonous gas often lead the coal accidents. In order to minimize the loss caused by mine accidents, first we must take prevention of mine accidents and once happened we must take steps to carry out the emergency rescue quickly and efficiently. So we must solve the problem about how to start the rescue quickly and efficiently.In order to carry out the emergency rescue quickly and efficiently, this paper has proposed an emergency rescue system based on Mesh network under mine. This rescue system is consist of four subsystems including video monitoring system, the audio scheduling system, the positioning system and the environment parameters detecting system. These subsystems works on the Mesh and cooperate with each other to make the emergency rescue system.From the characters of mine tunnels and the wireless communication system, this paper has proposed the wireless communication system which the backbone of the network is based on Mesh. And in order to test the performance of mesh network, we have build a mesh network with the distance of15kilometers. Based on this mesh network, we test the throughout, the time delay and the power of every mesh nodes. With these data we have proposed the optimize scheme to improve the performance of mesh.Firstly, we devote most of our attention to analyze characters of positioning technique and platforms. After that I have proposed the position system based on Android under the Mesh network. With the eSuperEditor, we have made the electronic map based on the real map of mine. This position system is developed on the SDK of eSuperMap and after finished, we have tested the performance and the accuracy of this location system.Secondly, We have also designed the multiple environment parameters monitoring system based on mesh. This subsystem is used to detect the environment parameters including SO2,O2,Ch4and so on. The command center use the parameters to judge whether this area is suitable to carry on schedule or not.Also in order to ensure the rescue system to work properly, this paper has proposed a message dispatching system based on mesh. This message system is used to dispatch messages between server and the client. In the end,we have tested these subsystems under mesh network to test their performance and their compatibility.
