The mineral processing is characterized by following features:strong nonlinearity, multivariable, time varying, large delay, strong-coupling, etc. And it’s difficult to establish a mathematical model for it. Moreover, due to the frequently change of the operation conditions and technical indices, it is needed a real-time adjustment of the optimal strategies and methods so as to adjust the optimal production indices. Available operation optimization systems are mostly developed for specific conditions, however, it is difficult to adjust optimal strategies. Therefore it is meaningful to design and develop a software for optimization strategy configuration under complex condition and technical indices environment。Therefore, configuration software of optimization for operation indices of mineral processing is designed and developed for a hematite mineral processing. It is supported in part by the National Basic Research Program (973) of Program of China under Grant2009CB320604. The software is shown to be useful and efficient from the experiments in a real production process. It can be used to configure their optimization strategy and configure parameters under complex industrial process circumstance through its human computer interface.The details are described as follows:1) The software requirements and analysis of the configuration software for the optimization of mineral processing operation indices are done. Firstly, this thesis gives an introduction about the operation optimization strategies and methods in mineral processing. Then, this thesis analysis the requirements of other function modules, such as algorithm-module housewares, computing engine and so on.2) This thesis presents a design of the configuration software of optimization for operation indices of mineral processing, such as the framework of the optimization configuration, algorithm-module and computing engine.The framework of the optimization configuration allows the user to configure the optimization strategy through dragging and dropping the algorithm-module. The operation parameter of the algorithm-module and the parameter of the algorithm can be adjusted in response to the changes of production process and operation conditions. Algorithm-module is used to configure optimization strategy and supports the multi-language algorithm file. The computing engine checks the structure of the optimization strategy before computing. In addition, user can select different computing mode to get the optimization value.3) This thesis presents a development of the configuration software for the optimization of mineral processing operation indices. The WPF are used to develop the interface of this software. The XML, a mark language, are used to solve packaging the algorithm-module. The factory pattern is used to realize the function of calling the algorithm-module. The observer pattern is used to realize the messaging between functional modules.4) Based on this software, the experiment configure the operation indices optimization strategy of plant-wide process, which is based on mineral process and specific conditions. The experiments prove that the function of the software is useful and efficient.
