The research work is started aiming at independently developing hot-dip galvanizing simulator. It has finished the followings:first the hot-dip simulator functional design, main design performance, second the mechanical structure and the achievement of the test function, third principle and structure of the hydraulic system and the hydraulic station, fourth principle and structure of the heating and cooling system and water station, fifth heating principle and the choice of heating method, sixth the air knife system, seventh zinc pot and stirring system, eighth the pneumatic system, vacuum pumps and gas station, ninth the lifting system, tenth the control systems and software development and other aspects.The main works are as following:(1)In connection with the process for hot-dip is complex, a hot-dip simulator is designed which has a simple structure, flexible and practical features, is a testing machine simulator with comprehensive functions. This device can test a variety of dipping parameters, which included the temperature, the speed and the tension of the sample, and the coating parameters including the displacement and the angle of air knife, blowing pressure and other parameters.(2)The heating process of hot-dip is complex and divers, a unique resistance chamber is designed which break the traditional design, as usual, to annealing they heated by infrared heating furnace, to alloy heating they use induction heating furnace. Achieve the goals of simplify the equipment, save space, reduce costs, easy to maintain.(3)For the defects of there is no tension control or control accuracy is not high in the similar equipment at home and abroad, a unique hydraulic chuck device for the sample to provide precise tension control is designed, make up the defects that can’t simulate the environment of tension in actual production no matter at home or abroad. The characteristics of transmission flexible, precise positioning and rapid loading provide a possible realization to achieve the tasks of annealing and alloying heating in one furnace. (4)Based on the complexity of controlling the atmosphere in hot-dip process, a hot-dip simulator atmosphere control system is designed, which ensure the atmosphere protection of air knife purge function and alloying and annealing heating. In addition, it can also provide a vacuum environment for the sample to heat-treated, and obtained different conditions during heating. Which provide the conditions for the hot-dip galvanizing.(5)Analyzing the working principle of continuous annealing simulator and physical characteristics of hydrogen, a safety control strategy of hydrogen utilization was proposed including the controls of hermetical performance of furnace, gas content in furnace, alarm of hydrogen detection in plant, safety interlocking and emergency measures, safety operation specification, etc.
