At present the demand for flame retardant conveyor grows gradually in our country, but people rarely consider from skeleton material, which can help meet the flame retardant of conveyor. The existing equipment is developed to take advantage of the new type of flame retardant skeleton material for rubber and plastic reinforcement, which mainly from the canvas of fiber types and the organizational structure of fabric.The main studies methods:the tested its flammability with a new horizontal firing experiment and obtained satisfactory result. Then explored the heat resistance and modified method of modified fibers with the new analysis of test methods at present, including TGA, DSC,FI-IR; tested the dynamic contact angle of fiber and latex with DCAT, in order to include the adhesive ability between the fiber and latex; using the tension tester to simulate the bonding status of conveyor and observe the stripping interface of them, combining these to analysis of the conveyor belt bonding situation and what factors.The studies:firstly the paper proved that the affect factors of the flammability about fabric with orthogonal test, and it turn out that the type of fiber is the main factor and then the fabric count, the yarn twist. We learn that the air content of the fabric clearance falls, following the fabric count or the yarn twist increasing. Then the canvas is achieved the purpose of flame because of the reducing oxygen content in the firing experiment.Designed a new type of anti-flaming canvas skeleton which based on modified polyester fibers, And the experiment prove that blending flame retardant modified polyester fiber drying under180℃for4hours of strength loss is as high as26.3%,which will seriously affect modified polyester fibers in the application of canvas frame materials. At the same time, comprehensive comparison such as the heat resistance of the fiber, the dynamic contact Angle with latex, combustion performance, we conclude that copolymerization flame retardant modified polyester fibers is better for flam retardant skeleton material for rubber and plastic reinforcement.For the development of new light conveyor belt, designed the new type of canvas with Kevlar as its skeleton, As its effective use of Kevlar, fabric radial basic is not burning just covering on the surface of rubber burning, smoking small amounts and being conducive to environmental protection in the burning experiment.its widthwise use of polyester/cotton blended yarns, this yarn is softer than pure chemical fiber, so as to reduce buckling degree of Kevlar in the canvas,at the same time,to reduce the strength of Kevlar. The result is that it proves the anti-fatigue property. The sparse structure of canvas can save the use of Kevlar, reducing the cost or belt, while it good for glue solution and enhancing peel strength of the belt.Through change the structure of the canvas, the paper designed reversible fabric as the skeleton material, this canvas have a high breaking strength. Because of the structure increasing the density and thickness of the fabric, at the same time it decreases the oxygen contention between yarns and fabric, so in the aspect of flame properties, it is much better than the canvas of tabby structure. If used the reversible fabric as the skeleton material of the heavy conveyor belt, it can lessen the layer of canvas, all of these reduce the stick glue dosage which decrease the production cost.
