This paper is based on the control system for automatic thick film plastic vacuum forming machine of a plastic vacuum forming machine manufacturer in shanghai, discuss the design and implementation process of the control system from the engineering point of view.This paper introduces the current development of domestic plastics machinery, and analyzes the development trend of plastics machinery’s control system. This paper analyzes the reason why we choose the DCCE PLC to design the control system:programming is convenient and reliable; the system can be extended, the technology that temperature control in the working process of the blister is analyzed; anti-interference technology; and configuration software is easy to use.The logic control system of the plastic vacuum forming machine is built with3PEC3000and1PEC6000.10frequency changers are controlled by PLC’s digital output. The signals of6encoders are received by PLC’s high speed digital input module. Other digital output channels control pumps, valves and alarm lamps. Other digital input channels receive the detection and alarm signals. The logic control system communicates with position machine by the Industrial Ethernet. The communication between master device and slave device is with RS485bus.The temperature control system of plastic vacuum forming machine is built with several PEC5000.We designed two temperature control programs for two heating materials-halogen tube and ceramic tube. In ceramic tube control system we use no overshoot self-tuning system of PID method. The temperature control system communicates with position machine by the Industrial Ethernet. The communication between master device and slave device is with RS485bus.Both logic control system and temperature control system are implemented in the same programming interface PLC_Config.Using ITD1015touching screen as man-machine interface, we complete the system’s development with configuration software DView.The control system achieves the requirement of the plastic vacuum forming machine manufacturer in shanghai, and successfully passed the acceptance of the manufacturer. The system has received high evaluation from the manufacturer.
