Emulsion as the transmission medium of hydraulic supportmainly,plays animportant role in modern coal mine fully mechanized working face,is called theblood of coal mine supportequipment. The concentration of the emulsion ismoderate or not directly decides the service life of hydraulic system componentsand the production efficiency.For example,the emulsion will lose its properfunction such as lubricant,antirust when the concentration of the emulsion is toolow;a high concentration of emulsion will increase the amount of emulsified oilthus increasing the cost of production. Therefore,a set of feasible effectiveemulsion automatic proportioning system is needed urgently to control theconcentration of the emulsion to meet the requirements of actual work.Emulsion proportioning system has experienced three stages of development,from the artificial mixed on the ground to manually prepared emulsion toautomatic proportioning. Among them, the artificial mixingon the groundandPreparation of emulsion manually, both workload is bigand the precision ofthe prepared emulsion is not high also, can’t satisfy the demand of practicalwork.Making emulsion of accurateconcentration not only requires accurate testing working emulsion concentration, still need a set of accurate, fastsystemto control the concentration of emulsion.Therefore, we need a set ofAutomatic proportioning system that combines the technology of detectingemulsion’s concentration with advanced control system in the actual production.Articles has carried on the simple instructions on the properties of emulsionand emulsion preparation mechanism,especially from two aspects about theemulsion of a single droplet formation and mechanism of emulsion to elaboratethe formation of emulsion,based on the research on emulsion formation processto guide the preparation of the emulsion. In the article i builtthe test bench aboutthe abbe refractometer and super constant temperature trough, and studied therefractive index about the emulsion concentration of0~10%in25~60℃,obtained index curve and experience formula between and among concentration,temperature and the refractive.On the basis of the research on detection of emulsion concentration,temperature and refractive index, articlehas realized GND15type emulsionconcentration sensor and PC communicationbased on Modbus communicationprotocol, calibrated the sensor, and the calibration results are verified.The resultsof Verification: the relative error of4.9337%and6.35285%, emulsion were1.34%and1.13%respectively.A set of automatic proportioning system was designed in this article,system adopts GND15type emulsion concentration sensor to detect emulsion’sconcentration, PLC control system to deal with the feedback that from each sensor,and the PLC would Issue commands to Guide the movements of theactuator.This system can realize real-time detection of emulsionconcentration,and make the corresponding adjustment quickly, achieve the fullautomatic emulsion proportioning.
