Since the reform and opening-up policy, major changes have taken place in our social structure. With the rapid development of economy, China has entered a period in which crises happen frequently. Colleges and universities are also facing the more and more complicated external environment. As the reform of the institutions of higher learning goes on, colleges and universities meet more factors of uncertainty in the course of development. Chinese colleges and universities are facing the challenge of crises too. The college crisis events would threaten the normal order of school work. If there are no effective measures to control the college crisis events, the problem will be worse. The college crisis events can destroy the normal order of teaching and scientific research and damage school's prestige, even affect society stable. The cause of the college crisis is complex. Miscommunication is one of major factors to cause crisis and make it more serious. In a sense, Information Communication as a basic method of crisis management is the core of crisis management. Adopting the countermeasures and establishing a whole set of mechanism of crisis information communication are the problem that must be solved urgently.This article discusses the significance of crisis information communication for crisis management and analyzes the existing problems in the practice and the approaches to resolve them. The thesis is divided into three parts: the first part which is chapter 1 and chapter 2 is theoretical research. This part researches correlations of information communication and college crisis management and the theoretical basis by comparing. The second part which is chapter 3 and chapter 4 is empirical analysis. This part discusses the existing problems in the practice and the approaches to resolve them. For example, the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures according the features of different phases of crisis and various communication objects. The third part which is chapter 5 is concluding remarks. In this part, the paper summarizes the main idea of this passage and offers brief arguments in terms of opinion leaders, university students'participation and the construction of campus computer network.
