Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Environmental Education To Tourism Major Students

With tourism industry developing, the negative impact on the environment has become prominent increasingly."Education is the fundamental method for environmental protection". Tourism major students in the university and college are the main force of tourism industry in the future. Environmental education for tourism students is an important measure. Tourism enterprises need high-quality personnel who have tourism environmental protection knowledge, however, the current status of their environmental education is not optimistic. Therefore, the current situation investigation, finding solutions to their environmental education is an important issue tourism educators are facing as well as tourism major need urgently to carry out tourism environmental education practice presently.Firstly, the thesis analyzes the content of environmental education, tourism, environmental education, clears purpose and objective of the tourism major students environmental education making us known the basic knowledge of tourism major environmental education. Thesis reviews domestic and overseas environment education development process, environmental educational theory. On this basis, domestic and foreign tourism environmental protection, domestic tourism environmental education are reviewed, making us formulating system understanding to environmental education and tourism environmental education.Secondly, selecting the surveyed subjects, thesis investigates and analyzes the present situation and problems of tourism major student environmental education from the both points of teacher and student. Through study and analysis, students have a certain degree of environmental consciousness, but the level is relatively low.Students lack of tourism environmental professional knowledge and skills, environmental protection action is not reliable, environmental protection. Colleges and universities don't pay attention to environmental education and have not open professional courses. The teaching ways are very single and lack of professional teaching books.Finally, under investigation and analysis, the author proposes some effective strategies. First, we should cognitive tourism major students environmental education from the strategic perspective of tourism industry sustainable development, which causes the leadership, teachers and students enough attention; Second, the author proposes opening tourism environmental education course and bring it into the teaching system, using participatory and flexible teaching methods and strengthening the textbooks construction; At last, the author proposes to carry out extra-curricular education practice for students of tourism major.
