The secondary vocational education is the most important part among the vocational education system. It trains a lot of talents for social economic construction. This also means the secondary vocational education help the labours to get jobs, which is greatly helpful for social stability and harmony. But in recent years, the education in the period of high school become not equilibrium between the ordinary high school education and the secondary vocational education. In order to promote the development of the secondary vocational education rapidly and healthily, the central committee has promulgated a series of documents and policies. However, as one of the most important specialties of the secondary vocational education in Zhejiang Province, the accounting major has some problems. These problems are mainly the level of the origin dropping, the training objective and curriculum setting not satisfying the demands of the current accountants' employers and the accountant posts in social job market, the relative timeworn and lagged teaching contents and teaching methods and so on. Therefore, it is very important to optimize the curriculum setting of accounting major in the secondary vocational education in Zhejiang province to qualify the demands proposed by current job market for new graduates.This thesis investigated the current situation of the curriculum setting and the demand on the accounting talents, referred a lot of literature and research profits about the curriculum methodology and psychology. Based on the document "Teaching Guidance of the Accounting Major in Secondary Vocational Schools" and the realities in our province, we promoted the detailed methods for improving the training objective and optimizing the curriculum setting. It is hoped that this can contribute to the curriculum reform a little of accounting major in the secondary vocational education in our province. Because of the limit of my knowledge, the defect can not be inevitable which is waiting to be improved and studied further by other scholars.
