Study On The Development Of City Proper Construction In Jimei District, Xiamen City

Jimei is one of the six admitrative distrits in Xiamen City and locates in centre section of Minnan Goldern Triangle of south-eastern coastal areas in Fujian province. Jimei ditrict is femous villige of overseas Chinese and spot of scenery tourism, at the same time is the cultural and educational district in Xiamen City. In recent years Jimei district implements transforming from the close-type economy priority with traditional agriculture to the open-type economy priority with industry, basically forms the economic system where products are manufactured for distant or foreign export and becomes an important window of opening externally in Xiamen special economy region. This paper systematically analyzes the current situation, superior and opportunity on the development of Jimei district, proposes developing strategy and countermeasure in order to provide reference for the sustainable development of Jimei district. It is also active meaningful to the study on the economic development of half-urbanization ditrict and its environment effect.On the basis of describing the current situation of economy development in Xiamen City, the paper analyzes the developing history, natural condition and current situation of development in Jimei district. It is shown that Jimei ditrict possess predominant natural condition, favorable cultural and aducational resourse and zone bit superior, is a idea place to develop assistant center of city in Xiamen and hinqe center of Minnan Goldern Triangle.The historical opportunities faced by Jimei district development are described ditally from world economy integration, economy construction on weatern coast of sraits, integrational construction in and out side of Xiamen Island and organizational trasform of city management and so on. The fuctional position of Jimei is the assistant center of city in Xiamen and hinge center of Minnan Goldern Triangle.The paper proposes the unique developing strategies must be adopted by Jimei district which include intergrating industrial chains, integrating land-exloit struction, launching econogical uptown construction and so on, in order to accelerate the construction of landway hinge center of Minnan Goldern Triangle and cultural and educational tourism area. On the basis of analysis the main environmental problems and environmental effects brought by Jimei district development, the paper proposes protection measures for econogy and environment, considers that only if measure expedient Jimei district could realize the sustanable development.
