As China joined in the WTO, expanded the open-door policy, increased leisure holidays, Tourism gains an unprecedented development opportunity. Restaurants as one of the three pillars of the tourism industry, Tourism's rapid development has created favorable growing conditions for restaurants. But as the hotel industry gradually developed, competition from home and abroad is also growing rapidly. How to enhance core competitiveness to keep in an invincible position in the fierce competition, which is becoming an urgent problem for hotel managers. As hotel is a labor-intensive industry,'person'occupy a very important position in hotel assets. Competition for talent is increasingly becoming an important aspect of competition between the hotels. Human resources have become an important part of the hotel core competitiveness. So implementing of the'people management', focusing on employee satisfaction, motivating and retaining employees, to encourage a more active and efficient staff work, are the important work of hotel human resource management. Focusing on employee needs, improving employee satisfaction, are also the key aspects of internal marketing and the important measure of marketing concepts innovation of hotel.Based on the employee satisfaction studies at home and abroad, this paper systematically combed the theories of the relevant satisfaction, including the definition, theoretical basis, influencing factors, measurement methods , composition dimensions and so on. Based on that, this paper proposes the employee satisfaction survey of hotel industry, designs six parts including 35 specific variables from the satisfaction of work itself, satisfaction of the remuneration , satisfaction of the self-development, satisfaction of the superiors, satisfaction of human relations, organization and management identity six aspects. By factors analysis,4 questions are eliminated.Taking star hotels in Wuxi city for example, this paper selects six hotels and a total sample of 250 survey from three-star, four star, five-star hotel, uses interviews and questionnaires on the Combination, studies the survey data using factor analysis and variance analysis.By analyzing the personal characteristics influence on the satisfaction, it is found that: gender, jobs, income do not significantly affect the overall satisfaction; marital status, age, education, working life and hotel rating significantly affect the overall satisfaction. Employee in low-star hotel have higher satisfaction; less-educated workers have higher satisfaction; married workers have higher satisfaction; there are two extremes in working life and age, workers who work below 1 year and over 5 years have higher satisfaction, workers whose age are below 20 years old and over 50 years old have higher satisfaction. At last, combining the findings, this paper proposes a number of recommendations for employee satisfaction management of Wuxi hotel.
