The Study On Development Of County-level Characteristic Industry In Taian City

County economy is an important part of the national economy, and it is the integration point of the urban economy and the rural economy. Under the market economy, it is not on the basis of covering extensive fields but of characteristics whether a county territory economy is competitive or not. There are two aspects to explore the strategies of county territory characteristic economy. Firstly, which industries and regions might become the new growth point and core area of the county territory economy should be analyzed from the natural, economic and locational conditions of the region so as to formulate a correct strategy and mode of development. Secondly, the characteristics must be cultivated by unearthing advantages around'county territory characteristics'and in the pursuit of " You have no, I have; You have, my better; Yours excellent, my great" under comparative advantages.Currently, levels of county economic development in Taian city are different, in which Xintai lies in the 40th place and Feicheng in the 63th place in the Tenth National basic hundred county economic competitiveness, while Dongping is a poor county in Shandong Province, power of county economic imbalances to polarization trend; The level of development of county overall economic is not high, and the advantages and disadvantages coexist, level of development of industrial structure is low relatively, industry characteristics are not prominent. Because the characteristic industry can gather together the advantages of county territory economy, transform potential advantages into real advantages and be able to shoulder the responsibility of county economy development, so the study of county territory characteristic industry has important significances as to development of county economic in Taian city in theory and practice.This paper mainly includes the following contents.Firstly, combining relevant literatures and industrial practice about the development of county territory characteristic industry, the current research theories of county territory characteristic industry are combed, and the essence of characteristic industry is grasped accurately from the theoretical connotation. Also, the need for county territory characteristic industry of Tai'an City is analyzed.Secondly, With the statistical data of Shandong Province, Taian City, and the county territory in 2009, the natural and socio-economic base of developing county territory characteristic industry in Taian County is analyzed. Natural resources include location, mineral resources, specialty, etc.. Socio-economic situations consist of total economy, industrial structure, infrastructure, new construction of countryside and so on.Thirdly, this is the main part of the paper. With the statistical data of Shandong Province, Taian City, and the county territory in 2009, the current industrial situation and resource condition of county territory in Taian City are evaluated comprehensively and analyzed objectively by the method of location entropy using Xintai city, Feicheng city, Ningyang county and Dongping county as research subjects. Furthermore, the characteristics of the three major industries of each county are obtained by calculating and some specific analyses are made according to their own problems.Finally, based on the existing problems of county territory characteristic industry in Taian City, some countermeasures such as policy system innovation, market construction , and talent introduction etc. are put forward to promote the development of county territory characteristic industry in Taian City.
