A Study On Structure, Model And Optimization Of Logistics Service Supply Chain

The academia focused on product supply chain in supply chain field for a long time. The product supply chain orientation and inadequacy of service supply chain study reflect the inferiority of service arena within the academia world. Coupled with emerging service, service supply chain deserves the priority as one of the mainstream of research within the supply chain domain. Within service and supply chain area, logistics service and logistics service supply chain is of significant importance for the whole economy. With the expansion of logistics service outsourcing, logistics service supply chain which is dominated by logistics integrated service providers, is prospering. With logistics companies as the study theme, the supply chain which integrates logistics integrated service providers (LFSP), logistics functional service providers (LISP) and logistics service customers (LSC), is defined as logistics service supply chain. Recent literatures define logistics integrated service providers as the core enterprise; usually undertake LFSP-LISP-LSC as the basic structure. The paper undertakes in-depth discussion into (1) the structure & model of logistics service supply chain, (2) the background of Chinese logistics service supply chain and (3) tactics for native logistics service supply chain to evolve.
