The economic development of East Asia is one of the most active in the world at present,"East Asian miracle"has demonstrated a pattern different from modern Western modernization, which is a unique path of development."Goose pattern"do a more close explanation to East Asia's economic take-off and regional economic division of labor. However recently, with advances in transportation and communication technologies, regional economic integration process is accelerating, mechanical products of the vertical specialization and components of trade in East Asia region is developing rapidly. Mechanical goods trade accounted for 70% of the total East Asian trade, which is the most important part in the trade structure of East Asia, meanwhile, parts trade accounted for 50% of the machinery products trade. This indicates that the regional production sharing is becoming an important mode of EastAsian division of labor. On the other hand, the emerging economies of East Asia's development which have become an important pole in the division of labor models, especially the rise of China, injected new vitality for the East Asian production sharing network, East Goose Model faces challenges. Whether International division of labor in East Asia at this stage has the gradient feature, how is the economy's position in the production of division, this division status bring what's influence to China, is a problem worthy of study, it is necessary to carry out further investigation. This paper is divided into five parts: The first part is an introduction, mainly discusses the meaning and context of this topic, reviews the related literature, and illustrates structure of the paper. The second part, distinguishes manufactures trade and components trade, divides technology ladder by per capita income level , studies gradient dynamics of the parts trade between East Asian economies, investigates exports Product structure of East Asian economies according to technical classification . Through analysis we can get: the East Asian economies have technical gradient difference, and there is continuity of the gradient technique. The third part, using the panel data of the United Nations trade statistics, based on the augmented gravity model, sort out technical gradient of the vertical production networks in East Asia. Empirical analysis shows that: the importance of high-gradient economies declined in production sharing in East Asia, the importance of low-gradient economy, particularly the role of China, has improved so much. The fourth part, analyses the opportunities and challenges to china in the context of the vertical division of labor in the product, and put forward four-point measures to enhance the status of China in vertical division of labor of East Asia. First, focus on improving the technical content of specialized production processes of Chinese companies; Second, play the role of the government macro-control ability to create dynamic regional advantages; Third, strengthen cooperation with neighboring countries of China, push forward regional economic integration in East Asia actively; Fourth, the extend the production networks in East Asian gradient model, make efforts to establish the Chinese enterprises'international production networks. The fifth part, concludes the paper, obtains on the technology ladder of the East Asian economies, division of status and impact and recommendation on the Chinese economy. This paper studies gradient feature of the international division of labor in East Asia from the trade, researches gradient division of labor in East Asia through the dynamic development of trade in parts and the structure of exports of manufactured goods, analyzed East Asia gradient conditions in the context of regional economic integration of East Asia; This paper also analyses the reason of the gradient characteristics of international division of labor in East Asia by econometric analysis, and put forward pertinent suggestions according to opportunities and challenges to China from the vertical division of labor within the East Asia.
