With the further development of tourism and the depth of building a socialist harmonious society in our country, social education function which tourism contains is paid more attention by outside the industry and mining. Tourism social education covers a wide and complex range. Scenic visitor education is the core of tourism social education. Using mixed research method, under the system of tourism social education; this paper discusses the connotation of visitor education, investigates the three scenic spots of Dalian and gives some suggestions and development strategies fixing the shortcoming of scenic visitor education. The author hopes that this paper is helpful to research the theoretical system of tourism social education and develop the function of scenic visitor education.This thesis is organized in fifth sections.The first section is the statement of the background and significance, purpose, scope of research object and research methods, research progress at home and abroad.The second section is the statement of the fundamental theoretical of visitor education including System Theory, The theory of Social Pedagogy, Sustainable Development Theory and Theory of Individual Comprehensive Developments. In addition, this section also built the concepts framework of the visitor education related.The third section proposes the conception, content and measure of visitor education based on the concepts framework in section two.The fourth section is the key part of this thesis. It takes the three scenic spots inDalian for example to investigate analyze the developing status and the questions of visitor education in scenic spots of our country.The fifth section discusses how to develop the visitor education function of tourism scenic spots and takes some suggestions.The last section is the conclusion of this thesis.
