Ling-yuan city of Liao-ning province is one of the important table-grape producing area with about 1,700ha and over 30 thousand ton production in 2008. Grape industry is becoming one of the primary agriculture industries. After referencing the research and field survey of grape industry, based on the theory of agriculture industrialization and industrial ecosystem, the paper analyzed the history and current status of Ling-yuan grape industry and found some drawback of it. Then the paper put forward a WO-developmental strategy by SWOT analysis and given some advice.Since the rural reform in 1978, the grape industry of Ling-yuan was divided into 5 stages. In the paper's point of view, there are 7 motive force contributed to the development. They are:the persistent rural reform, the rural policy of Central and Local Government, the adaptable nature condition, centuries-old grape planting experience, the huge market demand, the incessant technological innovation and the comparative advantage.There are some advantage on the development of Ling-yuan grape industry including the adaptable nature condition, the location advantage and the convenient traffic condition, also including the abundant practical experiences and the attention paid by the local government. Ling-yuan grape industry is now confronted with some problem, such as small-scale management, low quality of the labor, shortage of money, traditional uncovered cultivation, imperfect marketing network and information service, the old means of hoarding, etc. By the paper's review, all the problem is connected with the incomplete organization and low industrialization of grape.There are also some opportunity and threaten in the grape industry development. We can say the enormous market potentiality, the benefit farming policy and the enormous support from scientific and technology research give grape industry many. opportunity. But the competition coming from other grape-growing region and other agriculture industry would be very fierce, and the market risk would be high.The paper put forward that we should make good use of the national policy and scientific & technological innovations to solve the problem. Ling-yuan grape industry should be oriented to WO development strategy by SWOT analysis. Some advice to enhance the grape industry development capacity is given.
