A Study On Urban Integration Of Land-Losing Farmers From The Perspective Of Social Exclusion

With the rapid increase in the level of urbanization, lots of land-losing farmers swarm into city. These farmer changes into townspeople on Identity, but compare with local citizens, they can not enjoy the same right and treatment. Because of suffering much social exclusion, they can not blend in city completely.Theory of social exclusion is an important theory which research by sociology, the theory has been used to study social vulnerable groups many times by western society, but this theory appears on research problem of land-losing farmers few times in China. Theory of social exclusion is used to analyze the problem of land-losing farmers how to integrate into the city after it was introduced in this paper. Then the paper analyzes the exclusions that the land-losing farmers suffered on six aspects:policy, economy, culture, social security, labors market and network of social relation. These exclusions influence and strengthen each other, and they are the main causes that the land-losing farmers could not integrate into the city.Social integration means the land-losing farmers not only blend in city on them initiative, but also means they are accepted by urban society. Thus, social integration is a dynamic and bidirectional process. From this standpoint, the paper put forward measures to promote the land-losing farmers blend in city. These measures are to eliminate social exclusion, to enhance the local citizens'identification to the land-losing farmers, to improve quality of the land-losing farmers and to strengthen the community construction in order to enhance integration mechanism.Qualitative and quantitative analysis, empirical and norms analysis and system analysis are used to analyze the current situation of land-losing farmers'integration with the city in the paper on the basis of looking up literature and taking social investigation, Serious social exclusion is the main obstacle to prevent land-losing farmers to blend in city. Then the paper analyses how social exclusion play a role in Society, and then put forward measures to resolve this problem. The innovation point of this paper mainly shows in two aspects:First, from the perspective of social exclusion, it wholly and systematically analyses the problems of land-losing farmers' integration with the city, based on the analysis, the paper can propose a fundamental solution to the problems of land-losing farmers; Second, through the comprehensive analysis of the social exclusion the land-losing farmers suffered from micro-view, medium-view and macro-view, this paper presents the interrelation of these three aspects in the study of urban integration of land-losing farmers.
