| The paper is to analyze the questiones exsisting in the intensive use of cultivated land in Xinjiang, so that we can take some measures to improve the intensive use level of cultivated land in Xinjiang.Based on the theoreties such as land economics, land management, land resources, quantitative economics, the paper clearly discussed on the actualities, changes, region differences, questiones and analysed the prime driver factors and the potential of intensive use of cultivated land.Firstly, we theoretically analyzed the actualities of intensive use of cultivated land, then analyzed the changes of intensive use of cultivated land by the indictor system and found out the differences and questiones existing in intensive use of cultivated land between Xinjiang and other provinces. Secondly, we analyzed the major factors influencing cultivated land intensive use by the principal component analysis.Thirdly, by the elastic analysis and the edge effect analysis, we analyzed the influences that caused by fund and chemical fertilizer to the farming output value and the grain yield, and discussed initially the potential of intensive use of cultivated land. Finaly, according to sustainable development theory, we discussed some strategies such as transforming idea, speeding up the provincial economy development, strengthening the agricultural basic industry status, carrying out the agriculture policy, developing agricultural science and technology to improve the level of intensive use of cultivated land in Xinjiang.Main conclusions: (1)The intensive use leve of cultivated land in Xinjiang is rising, but is still low; (2)The farming investment intensity is on the tendency which rises unceasingly, the investment structure changes day by day, but the investment intensity is low;(3) As the rise of farming investment rate and the investment intensity ,the region difference is large and the development is not balanced;(4)The driver forces of intensive use of cultivated land in Xinjiang are economic development, agricultural policies and natural disasters, the economic development is the most important factor and is the essential condition for intensive use of cultivated land;(5) The chemical fertilizer investments is stronger than the fundings invested in increasing the farming output value and the grain yield . |
