As the urbanization accelerated developing rapidly, there is a massive population with relatively poor per-capita soil resources, which is the China's basic national condition .While the process of urbanization is inevitable, the contradiction of relationship between human being and land is becoming increasingly conspicuous by reason of the extensive growth in land-use. The land intensive utilization becomes literally the focus of land-use change we study. Xinjiang as a strategic key for the country's development in 21 centuries, the land intensive utilization of Xinjiang is propitious to the implement of long-term development strategy. The paper studies 18 cities of Xinjiang, the results of which reflect the framework of the land intensive utilization. The method as following: firstly, select disquisitive objects, which was that classifies the land as 3 systems: land for farm use, land for Construction, and land for Ecology base on the current situation of the intensive land utilization, and choose several evaluation indexes model which outstanding reflect the situation of urban land-use from the following aspects: land investment, the efficiency of land-use, the extent of land-use. Secondly, by the methods of Principal Component Analysis, Function Area Compartmentalization, Cluster Analysis, Correlation Analysis, Entropy-Weight, Coordinate-intensive Model and Neighborhood-Compare. Then calculate the integrated scores of each sub-system. At last Cluster Analysis is adopted according to the scores, which compare with each Principal Component scores of comprehensive evaluation indexes models and standardization data, and then draw evaluation results. The peculiarity is that the paper first uses the methods of Function Area Compartmentalization to compartmentalize urban land-use into three sub-systems, considering different characteristics of each system and selecting typical indexes, and analyses the urban land-use with different methods. In the end the land intensive use degrees of each city are described in different land-use types. The paper suggests the ways and measures to achievement of land intensive utilization, it also help us do further research in city land use.
