Knowledge Innovation And Diffusion Within Business Incubator

As a policy tool for supporting ventures in small and medium scale, business incubator has been widely founded in many countries around the world. How to strengthen knowledge innovation and diffusion in business incubator so as to accelerate the development of both the incubator itself and incubated enterprises has gained more and more attention.Firstly, this paper reviews literatures related with business incubator, knowledge innovation and knowledge diffusion, and then analyzes knowledge innovation and diffusion among individuals and organizations from the personnal and organizational perspective. On the basis of individual charactors and relations, a small world network model is generated. Knowledge innovation and diffusion among individuals is simulated using Matlab so as to discuss the effects from knowledge nodes and individual charactors. A system dynamics model is built based on studying the effect on knowledge innovation and diffusion among business incubator and incubated enterprises from 3 aspects:knowledge interaction actors, knowledge itself and the environment; another system dynamics model is built on the basis of an analysis on cluster effects of incubated enterprises and the motivation of knowledge innovation and diffusion. And then these 2 models are simulated using Vensim. Finally, suggestions on how knowledge innovation and diffusion of business incubator could be enchanced is presented based on the experimental results.
