Empirical Study Of FDI Impact On Food Trade In The Yangtze River Delta

Result of the social division of labor become increasingly refined of the economic life, economic activities develop to the direction of regional economic, food industry also should formate a new pattern of regional food industry based on regional resource endowment and economic development levels to carry out different the development in different. Food industry in Yangtze River Delta region gets the remarkable development achievements because of the developed economy, convenient transportation, and the gathered foreign investment. FDI and export trade are two most important economical activities in developing host countries, and are associated with each other closely.It has the oretieal arid realistie signifieance to study the influence deeply about FDI to an industry of the developed region, such as food industry in Yangtze River Delta region.In this paper, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, theoretical analysis and empirical analysis of the Yangtze River Delta in the food industry for analysis.The dissertation first analyzes the status of the food industry in Yangtze River Delta region, the 'use of FDI size, structure and the problems, then make the quantitative analysis according to large amounts of data and information.The dissertation find the conclusion that there is a linear relationship between FDI and indicators of production and trade from the view of quantitative analysis in Yangtze River Delta region. Finally address the above issues, the 'dissertation puts forward the approaches of using FDI to develop food industry in a more healthy way in Yangtze River Delta region on basis of policy recommendations.Through analysis, we find that FDI in food industry in the Yangtze River Delta region invest mainly focus on the mature, high-profit food departments, Food Processing in Jiangsu, Beverage Manufacturing in Zhejiang, Food Manufacturing in Shanghai.FDI in the food industry has obvious value of the demand effect in the Yangtze River Delta region. Generly speeking, FDI in food industry in Yangtze River Delta region has significant role in promoting.Labor factor of the food industry output is not significant in the Yangtze River Delta region while, in the food industry of the Yangtze River Delta region, although the production technology of domestic enterprises are making progress, but the foreign-funded enterprises and the technology gap is larger slowly.On the export side,, export delivery value of the food industry in Zhejiang Province is far greater than in Jiangsu and Shanghai.FDI play a significant role in promoting the growth of exports of the food industry in Jiangsu Province and Shanghai.The role of export-led industry of foreign-funded enterprises in Yangtze River Delta is very solid and clear. Jiangsu and Shanghai, the export of foreign-funded enterprises were higher than domestic companies in export orientation; Zhejiang Province is on the contrary.Exchange rate factor only has a large impact on private enterprises in Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province and Shanghai were not significant in food industry.
