Research On Production Logistics System Simulation Of Cargo Terminal

With the rapid economic development, the port is playing an increasingly important role in promoting China's economic development. As the maturity of the professional container terminal, how to fully utilize the resources through various management and technical tools at cargo terminal to increase revenue has become a necessary research issue in production management. Recently, the research methods in terminal planning, production management and scheduling are often combined with simulation techniques, but many existing modeling process is complicated and the model lacks of reusability and scalability, which makes the modeling efficiency has been low. Therefore, researches about modeling methods and means at cargo terminal are of great significance.In this paper, combined with current situation and problems of production logistics at domestic cargo terminals, through analyzing the operational data of Qinhuangdao Port Group (including cargo port branch and the eighth branch of port), the logistics simulation models is established. And then, Witness simulation platform is used for the realization and development.Firstly, the process status of production logistics at cargo terminal was elaborated in the paper, and the random variables of logistics system was analyzed according to the operational data of Qinhuangdao Port Group (including cargo port branch and the eighth branch of port).Secondly, the underlying language of the Witness software simulation platform was studied, and based on this platform the simulation model of logistics system at cargo terminal was established.Thirdly, the simulation test was conducted, and the acquired results were analyzed.Finally, in view that the data obtained from the simulation test are based on the actual manufacturing operation, this paper gave some suggestions for operators to arrange production activities reasonable.
