A Study On Development Strategy Of Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal Co.,LTD

Since the reform and opening up,China's air cargo transport industry obtained a rapid development.At present China has become one of leading countries for air cargo transport.Meanwhile,after China's entering to the WTO,the robust international trade has contributed a lot for development of air cargo transport industry.Shanghai Pudong Intl.Airport also made very good achievements for last decade,not only for airport management & passenger service,but only for air cargo ground handling services.Shanghai Pudong Intl.Airport Cargo Terminal Co.,Ltd.is one of those typical companies.In such an environment full of opportunities and challenges,how to adjust their strategies and how to win in the fierce competition in the air cargo transport and handling industry has been the urgent problems need to resolve.Based on the enterprise strategic management theories,this thesis first analyzed Pudong Airport Cargo Terminal Co's internal environment,including the company's current situation of the development,financial resources,and technical resources and market resources.Secondly,the thesis used PEST,potter five-force model to analyze the external environment of Pudong Airport Cargo Terminal Co's industry environment;On the basis of SWOT,this thesis made the company's strategy,which concluded strategic direction and the company's functions as well as strategy emphases.At last author presented the measures to guarantee the implementation of Pudong Airport Cargo Terminal Co's strategy.
