The Study Of New Office Work

The human society enters the information time, people's work and way of study also changed quickly, the computer rapid popularization and the network technology rapid development also has provided the possibility for people's new work and the way of study. The people of information time only must in the network cover scope, then be possible to carry on the work. The long-distance work and the motion work become a way of important work which is based on the non-traditional work form, is affecting people's life, then changes people's life style. The work but is increasingly inalienable with the life fusion, becomes and lives a close correlation part. The office furniture is precisely complies with such tendency. The product of industrialization period could not meet the present people's individuality demand. Past office furniture and the studio furniture also cannot meet the work and the life demand in the information time. The new situation which brings by the information science and technology impact proposes new task and new challenge for the new time office furniture design.This is a pioneering study of office work. It comprises the following four stages.Ⅰ. Through the people's understanding of the work form, systemic generalize the meaning of the office form and the influence primary factor to office form.Ⅱ. Based on the conclusion reached, the thesis attempts to hold the characteristics of modern office work through the description of modern organization,furniture material and office equipment, simultaneously analyse the current several kinds of office form,as well as the investigation into domestic office work.Ⅲ. This thesis proposes a four-stage methodology for office furniture design, namely observation of working environment-transformation of design language presumption for working environment-development of the concept, and the designer will thus be able to visualize different individual demands for office furniture and in result create a successful design for the office work.Ⅳ. In the form of materialization, this thesis attempts to predict the form of office work in the future by taking a look at the new office equipment and the development trend of the future organization.As title suggests, this thesis focuses on the study of office work. Through theintact assurance of the form and function of modern office work, the thesis explores the design theory of office furniture suitable for modern office work, as well as the application of the theory to the case design.
