China's petroleum retail market has taken great changes, and it is faced with fierce competition. For the less profits and horizontal competition, single business of oil products can't meet the needs of the long-term development of enterprises. The oil sale itself inevitably enters a low-profit era. Experience abroad shows non-fuel business will be a new profit growth point of gas stations. Developing non-fuel business has become an essential choice by which gas stations can lower management risk, and increase profitability and survival capability. Yunnan Challenge Petroleum Co., Ltd. (YCPC) has began to expand the services of the gas stations in order to change the simple-service state of gas stations at present. However, the advancement of non-fuel business in the gas stations has been restricted due to the slim revenue, different consuming habits and out-dated management systems.The thesis gets some suggestions by analyzing the present development of non-oil business home and abroad, and summarizes the problems of non-fuel business in our country and the reasons. The development programs about non-oil business in YCPC have been put forward in the light of the current situation of YCPC and the market characteristics of Yunnan non-oil business, that is, giving priority to the development of convenience stores, then introducing car service and fast food business. Finally YCPC will invest in real estate. The case of Wan Ke will give us some suggestion.
