A Research On The Influence Of Foreign Trade On The Industrial Structure Upgranding In Shaanxi Province

This papers relies on international trade theory and the theory of the evolution of industrial structure, starting from the theory of Comparative Advantage, Trade Protection, Flying Geese Pattern and Product Life Cycle. It deeply probes into the interaction between International Trade and Industrial Structure, systematically analyzes that foreign trade promotes the upgrade of industrial structure, constructs relevant theoretical framework. Furthermore, this thesis uses Econometrics of Cointegration and Granger Causality Test to empirically study the relationship between import and export structure and industrial structure in Shaanxi Province. In the long term, there is a unique cointegration between the three variables---import structure changes, export structure changes and industrial structure changes. We can use the optimization of export structure to promote the upgrade of industrial structure which further drives the rationalization of import and export structure. In conclusion, this thesis puts forward some policy recommendations which are based on research purposes of development of foreign trade and the upgrading of industrial structure in Shaanxi Province. Specific measures are as follows:further expanding the import and export volume, increasingly expanding open space, making efforts to enhance foreign trade competitiveness, vigorously developing high-tech products trade and service trade, further optimizing the structure of imported goods. Through these measures we can effectively promote the industrial structure to the high-class direction.
