Study On Urbanization Quality Of Henan Province

City is the symbol of human civilization, and the center of the political, economic and cultural. Since the founding, especially in recent years, urbanization has accelerated noticeably in China. However, there have been many problems in the rapid urbanization of the process .In the process of urbanization, it ignores providing more opportunities for farms into the public, and developing small towns. This tendency is more obvious on quantity rather than quality .Has it the tendency in Henan province? How is the stage of urbanization in Henan province? How is the quality of urbanization? We need to study these issues further.In this paper, the evaluation of urbanization in Henan Province is divided into urban area and the overall quality assessment of two parts. In this paper, I research on urbanization quality of Henan province include the provincial quality assessment of urbanization and overall quality assessment of urbanization .Geographical scope of the study include 18 cities in Henan Province ,and central region in 2008 year. First, I analyze the understanding of urbanization and quality urbanization which the views of scholars at home and abroad, and put forward own understanding. Associating with the process of urbanization, the real meaning of quality urbanization is narrowing gap between urban and rural areas, further improving the quality of Residents life and the living environment, having more scientific way of life and more rapid social development, and gradually increasing happiness index. Second, I brief describe briefly the relevant theories of urbanization to make theoretical preparation for the study of urbanization quality.On this basis, I mainly select six aspects which contain the economic, social, life, environment, infrastructure and urban-rural integration in Henan province establishment the quality of urbanization index evaluation system. And I use the principal component analysis evaluate the quality of urbanization. The results show that the overall quality of urbanization is lower and significant differences between regions; the number of towns which the quality of urbanization is higher is less, and their radiations are weaker; and the towns which the quality of urbanization is lower are driven harder. And the overall quality of urbanization is also lower than the other's quality. With the actual situation of Henan Province and the problems of the quality of urbanization, I propose many enhancement measures that include general suggestions and recommendations of individuals. In general aspects I address the regional contact, optimization of industrial structure, urban planning, human capital and other urban and rural areas.
