On The Use Of Project Management Theories In Innovation & Entrepreneurship

Innovation and entrepreneurial activity in colleges and universities are inevitable choice for students to adapt to the times change and students innovative ability. Through appropriate means to carry out effective innovation and entrepreneurship activity is an important measure for the "long-term education reform for higher students practice"and"the National economic and social development plan and Twelfth Five-Year Plan ". As the introduction and development of project management theory and methods, its been quoted to many areas and other various fields playing a positive role in promoting achievement of project objectives in the course of the growing influence concerned by greater public. Introducing the project management activities to innovative and pioneering higher education institutions in colleges and universities and promoting the smooth commencement of the work of entrepreneurship innovation, have both the necessity and feasible.As a compositive university, Liaoning university adapts to the demand of society, reforms the patterns of talents cultivation, attempts to search for a effective method to cultivate the innovative ability of students. But there're still some problems in developing innovative and Entrepreneurial activity. At the earlier stage of the innovative and entrepreneurial activities, these problems includes that universities have indifferences and a lack of the knowledge about the innovative and entrepreneurial activities,have the low enthusiasm to participate in innovative and entrepreneurial activities, the inconspicuous result in controlling supervising the innovative and entrepreneurial activities, the imperfection of the evaluation system at the last stage of the innovative and entrepreneurial activities, the difficulty in achievement transforming. Considering the reason, it is caused by not only the behindhand concept, but also the lack of some relative managing mechanism. Those reasons are bad for realizing the achievements of innovative and entrepreneurial activities, so it's a necessary choice to introduce project management method in promoting the effect of the innovative and entrepreneurial activities. At the same time, innovation and entrepreneurial activity of its own purpose, organization, risk, and an increasingly sound management system and sufficient funding conditions of Liaoning University provide feasibility for entrepreneurial activities and the innovation that introduce a project management method. To this end, we construct an innovation and entrepreneurial process model of Liaoning University which is based on life cycle theory of project management. Through the project management of innovation and entrepreneurship, which is able to strengthen personnel system of it, enhance innovation entrepreneurship and communication within the team division of labor, optimize the resource configuration of innovated starting-business, build the effective manage mode of innovated starting-business, improve the manage system of innovated starting-business. In addition, Liaoning University should also provide protection of scientific innovative entrepreneurial culture and complete innovation and entrepreneurship resources to provide protection that the model carries out the full effect.The innovative program, "prosperous flowers", on the basic of project management(PM) of Liaoning University, have made some progress after several procedures---strategizing, application, examination, preparation and implementation; which is readying for the final acceptance check energetically. It is definitely an important example of introducing PM for the innovation and startup business (SYB) of Liaoning University's students.
