In the knowledge economy, the development of information technology has made the number of social activity grow with the geometric rate, and dissemination of knowledge is also increasing, the intensity of competition and time requirements of the urgency of changes in the external environment companies must quickly respond. The practical application of traditional management methods, for example, target management, crisis management, corporate culture, appeared insufficient, a new organizational structure and management which adapting knowledge economy, team management has come into being. Team management pay more emphasis on the efficiency of team management and employee groups, job satisfaction, which raised in the collectivist Japan, developed and grew in Europe and the United States and then around the globe.In recent years, "team" is favorable with many domestic entrepreneurs and scholars, and become a very fashionable word. Entrepreneurs and leaders begin to realize the importance of the working methods of the team in the organization, and explain teamwork ideas to their managers and staff. Management experts also propose to re-build organizations, and propose a variety of new organizational structure to facilitate team work.This paper precedes research on IBM's product department, analyzes the situation of IBM's product department, and analyzes the cause of the problems, and proposed management strategy team building to provide constructive measures for team construction of IBM's product department, and build study paradigm on team-building management, using management, economic theory and methods and drawing on experience of domestic and foreign well-known company team-building experience, within the context of the whole community paying great attention to team building management.
