FPCB product commonly known as flexible printed circuit board is one type of printed circuit board, mainly applied for the trendy digital electronics products, which has been widely used with the consumer electronics industry flourishing. FPCB is a specific part used in particular electronic products, which is the customized product. The manufacturing process of FPCB is complex, design changes will be repeated in product development stages, and repeated samples and validation are normally, product development is difficult, and the product development cycle time is generally six months to a year. With the accelerated upgrading of electronic products and more intensified market competition, the various manufacturers launch new products faster, with better and better features, and FPCB is a part of the electronics supply chain, facing the new market environment, new product development also face requirements, such as "speed"," quality", "cost " and "diversification", and other requirements.H corporation is one member of F Science and Technology group, specializing in producing FPCB products, the corporation's main customers are international well-known top cell-phone, computers and other consumer electronics manufacturers, in the current market environment how to develop new products, to meet the requirements of "fast", "steady", " accuracy ", and to meet customer requirements, which is a big challenge for H corporation. The main purpose of this study are: using scientific management methods and tools, and system process planning method, to re-plan and design the old system of products development to solve the challenges of new product development, so that there is consistent language with international advanced enterprises about new product development system, to meet customers'requirements.The main framework of this paper is divided into the following sections:First, to analyze the needs of FPCB new product development process, mainly from three points: FPCB industry characteristics'requirements, new market environment and customers'requirements, and the requirements of ISO9000 standards, in the end proposed the problems need to be solved about the old FPCB product development process.Secondly, to analyze the business process of new product development and combined the needs analysis at beginning to identify problems about the old system, for all the problems one by one put forward solutions.Again, according solution to re-plan and design the FPCB new product development system, to finish the flow chart of new product development, and detail the contents and operating procedures with the each stage of new product development, this section is the focus of this study, the main arguments would be embodied in this section. At last, through an actual project to illustrate the application of the new process.Finally, from two aspects which are the technical and economic benefits to evaluate the new product development system after re-planning, then put forward the relevant issues that should be improved in the future.Mainly from three aspects to show the arguments: using project management concepts and techniques, ISO9001 product development system planning and quality control methods, and the methods of process analysis and reengineering, including the following items:First, according to characteristics of new product development and the departments involved in H Corporation, to change the organization model of new product development to balanced matrix organization structure, different from the traditional type of functions organization, also stipulated the management duties for new product development team members ;Second, using the methods of project management to optimize and innovate the design of product development process: when many new projects to be developed simultaneously, the similar projects are grouped together to be managed by one method, making the projects plan of new product development and control projects, using the method of Stage-gate Processing to assess all stages, to ensure the efficient use of resources and the control of the development phase. Third, according to the process methods of ISO9001 to divide the process of new product development into six stages, ensure the activities of new product development to be orderly and systematic arrangement, and enable the process of new product development system consistent with the provisions and requirements of ISO, and to adjust the process of new product development by customer - centered; Fourth, using Concurrent Engineering methods to shorten the development cycle time and reduce development problems and the changes of design or process.Fifth, using quality control for new product development, when start a new project the quality planning must to be completed ahead, set up assessment mechanism for each stage of new product development.After the re-planning and design, the process of FPCB new product development system is clear, organizational model and structure is sound, all activities are clustered around the goals of new product development, and are mastered effectively, the results are: the cycle time is shortened, the success rate and the yield rate of new product are improved, and the cost is reduced, in the end to meet the customers'requirements under the new market environment.
