Research On Models Of Reverse Logistics For Chinese Home Electricity Appliance Under EPR System

With the development of modern electronic and electrical technology and the outstanding position that China holds in the world wide manufacturing Industry, the home appliance manufacturing was now developed into one of the most important industry in our country. Various sorts of home appliances was born and keep booming up. Meanwhile, the Extended Producer Responsibility and Reverse Logistics which intends to collect the End-Of-Life (EOL) appliances and recycle them, so as to recycle the resources and protect the ecological environment, was more and more popular and implemented in some key countries of world widely. The western developed countries have over twenty years of history in Reverse Logistics implementation, while our country started later. But recent years, more and more attention was paid on this by our central government and related enterprises. Our government also enacted some specific regulations to force the home appliance producers to fulfill their responsibilities on the collection and recycling of the EOL appliances. Driven by this, more and more people now are working on the research of models of Reverse logistics, with the hope of providing theoretical base for decision maker of the home appliance producers.The paper starts from the scrutinized research on the home appliances models of reverse logistics of Japan, USA, as well as some European countries. Based on this study, the framework of models of reverse logistics was set up, which was defined into Implementation Motivation, Collection System, Collection Party, Collection Location as well as Value Recovery. To study how to implement reverse logistics for Chinese home appliance manufacturer, a demonstrative way was conducted, which designed a questionnaire tailored to home appliances industry and focused on the five aspect of the models of reversed logistics. As a research achievement, the problem on implementation of reversed logistics on Chinese home appliance industry was found and analyzed. Finally, some solution on the level of Strategy, Tactics and Operation was given to Chinese home appliance producers when they prepare for the coming implementation of reversed logistics.
