Six-Sigma management is the system science by reducing undulation, the continuous innovation and the quality level at of close to the quality defects of 3.4 parts per million to achieve customer satisfaction and maximum lucre.The production of the mobile phone is becoming more perfect. With the strategy of international mobile market developing, the high and middle-end mobile phones will be produced more and more. So the enterprise must promote its cost competition through enhancing the process control and reduce the internal loss and improve the quality. Six-Sigma quality management is based on the market requirement. Motorola is the pioneer of pushing the Six-Sigma management more perfect.F company is one of the top 500 enterprises in the world. It is important to improve the core competition of quality control to satisfy the customer quality and cost and quick response. So F company executes the Six-Sigma management actively and improves the customer satisfaction efficiently and acquire huge economic profit. S Project is about cell phone executed in F company now. The market requirement is large but the quality is low and the customer is not satisfied with it. Of course the company profit is impacted. As for this, it is urgent to take Six-Sigma to improve its quality.The thesis mainly studies the defect control of S project. At first, study the production process of S Project and take proto analysis to the defect items. Confirm the top defect is white dot and fiber. For the process defect, execute Six-Sigma technology to improve the quality with five steps of DMAIC . In the define phase, form the project team, analyze the cost and lucre of the project and make the action plan. In the measure phase, take GR&R analysis to the inspection operators and get the pass result of persons and measurement system. In the analyze phase, take the Failure Mode and Effective Analysis to dig the cause of white dot and fiber. Among all the final station is the highest RPN (Risk Priority Number), so we shall strength the white dot and fiber defect inspection training and test for the operators before working. In component assembly process, the RPN of the inner or outer lens assembly station is higher, so they are the key control point too. In the improve phase, take action plan for the proper causes from former analysis. And confirm the responsible departments are SQE, ME and production. The deadline is the end of this year. In control phase, mainly standard the action plan to ensure the continuous improvement efficiency. Through the internal process improvement, the defect of white dot and fiber drop down from 9% to 0.5%. The cost down of rework material crash and rework manpower is about six million RMB per year. At the same time, from the outer impact actors to take action plans of suppliers control and reduction of customer field defect to reduce the defect.The project obtains a better economic efficiency, meanwhile, the yield rate improves the delivery in time and makes customer more satisfied. It is useful for the Six-Sigma management widely applying in F Company.
