Research On The Design Of Transportation Products And The Optimization Of Transportation Organization Between Railway Logistics Centers

Railway, as one of the main transportation modes in our country, has been playing the most important role in bulk cargo and long-distance transportation. However, the present transportation products and organization modes are not fit for modern logistics. The construction of railway logistics center(RLC) is a breakthrough to modern logistics for railway. The design of transportation products and the transportation organization are main factors deciding whether (RLC) could play its role well. This thesis researches on the two problems from several aspects as follows.(1)The basic theory of RLC is elaborated including the concept, classification, and effects of RLC, the levels and functions of RLC and the relationship between RLC and existed railway terminals.(2)The railway freight market as a whole is analyzed and freight transportation volume by categories is predicted through the methods of Gray Theory, growth rate and variance-covariance. By analyzing railway freight market segmentation, the target market for RLC is pointed out. Then transportation products between RLCs are designed from the three levels of core product, form product and additional product.(3)The transportation organization idea between RLCs is discussed and different transportation organization modes are concluded. Then mathematical model for the optimization of transportation organization between RLCs is built up. Finally, through a case study solved by Lingo, the validity of the model is verified.
