It's the inevitable choice for the development of agriculture and rural areas that to make good use of the land resource, to accelerate the transformation of agricultural development mode, to promote the industrial management of agriculture and to build the structural system of sustainable development. The essence of the sustainable development of rural areas is how to balance the various development issues in the situation of urban-rural dual structure.In the perspective of sustainable development, the sustainable development of rural areas is subject to the rational land resource strategies and agriculture industrial distributions. The land is essential element of the rural sustainable development system while the available drivers of that is the industrial agriculture. The core of realizing the sustainable development through the replacement of land between rural and urban areas is that obtain the price gap to invest in rural areas so that achieve efficient and reasonable use of land and capital. As a consequence, the rural population quality will be enhanced and the economic in the rural areas will be developed, in the meantime, the environment will be reasonably protected.The research is based on the theory of sustainable development factors and system. Through the research interviews and questionnaire survey about the development status of the township of Wangguanying Town of Fengrun District of Tangshan City, the research analyzes the basic path and measure of the sustainable development in rural areas utilizing the urban-rural land exchange mechanism as a point of penetration. It's hoped that the conclusion could serve as useful references for the sustainable development of our rural areas.
