The land-use landscape pattern reflects the disturbance degree of human to the natural environment and results of land-use/land-cover changes (LUCC), and displays diverse forms in space (namely land-use types), which is manifested for specific graphics that in different time periods, its space is different. The synthetic of landscape pattern informatic TUPU by introducing the theory of Geo-Informatic TUPU to the land-use landscape pattern study, can not only describe the spatial pattern of things systematically, but also present historical process from the status or inference the development tendency of future things.This paper is based on the theory of land-use change, landscape ecology and Geo-Informatic TUPU, choose Beibei district of Chongqing as the research area, and the remote sensing image (the resolution is 30M) of three time slots of 1985,1995 and 2007 and social and economic data as the basic data, interpret the remote sensing image by ERDAS 9.2 software so as to obtain the land-use type information, establish land-use landscape pattern database of Beibei by ARCGIS 9.3 software, compose land-use landscape pattern informatic TUPU and the corresponding Markov transition probability matrix to calculate the landscape pattern index, and research on the land-use change of Beibei from 1985 to 2007 through analysis and expression of series of "pattern-scale-rank-map-time" in order to come to the characteristic and evolving rules of the landscape pattern during different times. The landscape pattern informatic TUPU and markov transition probability matrix can not only simulate the dynamic process of the landscape pattern, but also reveal the evolution rules of ecological landscape pattern, speculate its development trend, which has practicality and maneuverability to research of regional land-use pattern and the evolution trend, and provide detailed scientific basis for the sustainable development of land-use decision of Beibei district of Chongqing.The characteristics of land-use of Beibei in the year of 1985,1995 and 2007 were:in 1985 cultivated land area accounted for 51.06% in the total land area while woodland accounted for 44.23%, so they were the dominant land types. Construction land accounted for 0.91% in the total land area and the rate of land for traffic is the minimum. In 1995, woodland and cultivated land shared 47.21% and 47.39% respectively, construction land used acreage 2.62% of the total land area, waters accounted for 2.56%, and land for traffic was still share the smallest rate. In 2007, the landscape matrix was still cultivated land and woodland. The waters area continued to decrease since 1985, construction land accounted for 5.79% in the total area, and areas of land for traffic was 3.38 times of that in 1995. These changes of construction land and land for traffic indicate that Beibei's economy had developed quickly since Chongqing was directly under the jurisdiction of the state council, so that a lot of agricultural land were converted into the non-agricultural land, which had strengthened the land-use efficiency. This research selected eight landscape pattern indexes according to the characteristics of current land-use landscape pattern and research purposes. The diversity index had increased persistently from 1985 to 2007, which indicated that the five kinds of landscape patterns have the development trend of equalization in Beibei.The characteristics of landscape pattern informatic TUPU in study period in Beibei were:this research synthesized landscape pattern informatic TUPU and markov transfer matrix of two periods based on land-use database of Beibei in ARCGIS 9.3 software.21 atlas category were created in the landscape pattern informatic TUPU during 1985-1995, and among them there were 16 categories of the land-use change and 5 categories that didn't change, and the research sorted the 16 categories of the land-use change in accordance with its size and change rates, statistic the number of figure spot and cumulative percentage of each kind of maps, and the results showed that:the areas of construction land, land for traffic and woodland were increasing, while waters and cultivated land revealed negative growth; There were 28682.49 hectares of land whose utilization type had changed in this period; The cumulative percentage of these five kinds of maps of cultivated landâ†'woodland,woodlandâ†'cultivated land,cultivated landâ†'construction land,watersâ†'woodland,woodlandâ†'construction land had reached to 95%, which are the main types of land-use change in this period.22 atlas category were created in the landscape pattern informatic TUPU during 1995-2007, and among them there were 17 categories of the land-use change and 5 categories that didn't change, and the research sorted the 17 categories of the land-use change in accordance with its size and change rates, statistic the number of figure spot and cumulative percentage of each kind of maps, and the results showed that:construction land, land for traffic and woodland revealed positive growth while waters and cultivated land continued negative growth trend; The land for traffic change rate was the highest; There were 9891 figure spots whose land utilization types had changed in this period; The cumulative percentage of these seven kinds of maps of cultivated landâ†'woodland,woodlandâ†'cultivated land,cultivated landâ†'construction land,construction landâ†'woodland,woodlandâ†'construction land,watersâ†'woodland,woodlandâ†'traffic land had reached to 95%, which are the main types of land-use change in this period.The characteristics of construction land changes in Beibei from 1985 to 2007 were:the main source of construction land was cultivated land and woodland. The construction lands that were converted from woodland were scattered, mainly for the rural residential areas. Cultivated land were mainly changed into town land for construction purposes, were roughly distributed in the southwest of the city zone,along the round highway in Xiema town,along the roads of Caijiagang town and Tongjiaxi town, and near the town government of Shuitu town along the coast. The landscape pattern index analysis showed that the figure spots boundary of construction land in Beibei district were becoming increasingly complicated during 1985-1995, and the figure spots were becoming increasing regular with the enhancement of construction land space control method during 1995-2007.
