The Transfer Of Rural Labors And The Development Of Efficient Agriculture

Currently, there are two major issues which are the transfer of rural surplus labors and the development of efficient agriculture in Jiangsu Province with its economic development, and there are close links between the two issues. To meet the requirement of the efficient agriculture development of the scale base, the number of agricultural labors need to be effectively reduced through the transfer of the rural surplus labors, which will expand the land operate scale of farmers; and to achieve the goal of the transfer of surplus labor force, new means of transfer must be created through the efficient agricultural development, which will promote the development of related industries. The transfer of rural surplus labor, like the development efficient agricultural, plays a significant role in the improvement of income of the farmers and the fundamental transformation of the mode of agricultural production.In this paper, there are both theoretical analysis and empirical testing about the relationship between the transfer of rural surplus labor and the development of efficient agricultural. Not only in order to focus on the development of efficient agriculture, but to simply the theoretical analysis, the whole economy is divided into the urban industrial sector, the efficient agricultural sector and the traditional agricultural sector in this paper. In this framework of three-sector economy, we give a theoretical analysis of the effects on the wage subsidy policy to different sectors and the results of economic development to the rural labor transfer and the efficient agricultural sector. In the empirical study, we select the relevant data of Jiangsu Province from 1990 to 2009, and build the first difference of linear regression model of logarithm. We have verified the assumption of the transfer of agricultural labor to the improvement of labor productivity through the empirical study. Regression results show that the transfer of labor force has a significant influence on labor productivity. In each step of the regression models, the number of the growth rate of the transfer of rural labor force affecting the agricultural labor productivity growth rate of is stable at 0.8 or so, that is, if the growth rate of the transfer of rural labor force increase by 1%, the growth rate of the agricultural labor productivity will increase by 0.8%.Efficient agriculture is an important model of modern agriculture and the development of efficient agricultural plays an important role in the fundamental change of the production mode in agriculture. Meanwhile, the transfer of the rural labor force plays an important role in the increase of incomes of farmers as well as the high-efficiency agriculture. Therefore, a clear understanding of the relationship between the two, for solving the "three rural" issue of Jiangsu Province, and even the whole country, has an important help. If the results of this study can give others a certain understanding on the development of efficient agriculture and the transfer of rural surplus labor force and the relationship between them, the author's effort is not in vain.
