Current researches on tourism resources all consider recreational sites as a whole, but seldom analyze the spatial characteristics of separate recreational sites (forest park, natural reserves, scenic spots, etc.). Through field study and survey, searching data on line and measuring distance with graphics software, this thesis studies the spatial characteristics of forestry recreational resources. Several quantitative methodologies are used such as rotating radius, discrete index of attraction and so on to analyze the spatial distribution of forestry recreational resources. For this paper, on the basis of field survey, referring to bibliography as well as both domestic and foreign cases, the author takes Beijing to do case study, and designs five recreational belts by using above quantitative methodologies. Also, while analyzing the spatial characteristics, this paper classifies and evaluates the recreational resources of the five belts, and thus reaching the conclusion of the spatial planning method-forestry recreational belt, so as to provide references to the protection and development of forestry tourism resources.
