Study On Recreational Belt Around Metropolis (ReBAM): Chengdu Case

The Recreational Belt Around Metropolis (ReBAM) is both a result of the development of Chinese cities and urbanization that has been developed to a certain degree and a boost as well as reparation of urbanization. To satisfy the citizen's need of recreation, the facilities, places, and space of recreation has mushroomed around the metropolis. These facilities and places together with the destination of out comers have formed the ReBAM. Simultaneously the citizen's recreational action has spurred the out comers'participation. Based on the study of pioneers and practice, the ReBAM of Chengdu city is discussed in this thesis.Five parts are included in this thesis:The first part is the review on research of the ReBAM. Interrelated concept such as recreation, leisure and tourism is defined and analyzed. The research of city tour and country tour that is interrelated with the ReBAM has made a rapid progress. The research of city tour and country tour of Chengdu has gotten comparatively more achievement, but the research of the ReBAM of Chengdu has not been seen yet.The course of formation of the ReBAM of Chengdu is discussed in the second part.
