Research On Tourism Development Of Recreational Belt Around Metropolis: A Case Study In Zhengzhou City

With the acceleration of the urbanization process, recreational space is decliningfor urban residents in the urban areas. Urban public recreational space continues to beextended to surrounding suburbs of the city, and gradually carrying the recreationalfunction for city. The regions which have better environmental resources surround thecity gradually become activity places that used for leisure, amusement, sport andrecreation, leisure experience, and so on. These special areas were called RecreationalBelt around Metropolis. Location advantage, products and comprehensive functionsfeatures, as well as tourists demands of Recreational Belt around Metropolis contributeit to a common trend of the large and medium-sized cities in tourism; The tourism ofRecreational Belt around Metropolis accounts for bigger proportion, and plays animportant role in promoting development of tourism economy and improving thelivelihood of the people.Based on summarizing research achievements of Recreational Belt aroundMetropolis at home and abroad, this paper analyzed tourism development characters ofRecreational Belt around Metropolis in Zhengzhou city and a series of problems in thedeveloping process by questionnaires, field experience, contrast analysis and othermethods; put forwards suggestions and countermeasures for direction and constructionof Recreational Belt around Metropolis, and discussed development ideas for its future.First of all, described connotation of Recreational Belt around Metropolis;analyzed the reasons for the formation of the Recreational Belt around Metropolisaccording to demand-driven of markets, investment attractiveness of the tourism project,macro environment and micro environment supportive factor of development and otherfactors; explained evolution process of Recreational Belt around Metropolis. Based onconsidering the scale of urban development, recreational behavior of people andrecreational resources characteristics, defined the scope of Recreational Belt aroundMetropolis in Zhengzhou City.Secondly, we analyzed tourist resources and the distribution type, marketsituation and tourist industry development，then explained tourist development presentsituation of Recreational Belt around Metropolis in Zhengzhou city, including development strengths and weaknesses, the opportunities and threats. With thecomparison between theory and practice of development, found out a series of problemssuch as lack of correct recognition of tourism resources, low level of tourismdevelopment, imperfect infrastructure and supporting facilities, management of scenicarea was not standardized and so on.Finally, for the above-mentioned problems, put forward a series of measures andrecommendations for promoting positive development of Recreational Belt aroundMetropolis in Zhengzhou City, and discussed its future development construction.
