A Study On The Development Of Luoyang Peony Cultural Tourism

During the development history of Tourism, People were always ongoing sightseeing tour at fist. In recent years, the needs for the spiritual and cultural of people are on the increase. In the course of travel, people pay more attention to comprehend the cultural connotation of attractions. From this, Cultural Tourism, which adapting to this demand comes into being. Under the tide of the developing of Cultural Tourism, in order to cater to the needs of tourists, various of scenic spots begin digging cultural connotation of spots, to improve the culture grade and cultural content of scenic spots, then to improve their own competitiveness. Luoyang is one of "Seven Ancient Capitals"of China,which has a long history, so the cultural traveling resources there are rich.But the cultural tourism of Luoyang starts late,and develops slow, facing the problem that it has abundant resources but the development is insufficient, "the capital city of many ancient Chinese dynasties and a city of peony,"is the city image of Luoyang. Peony is treated as the city business card of Luoyang. If using the peony as the breakthrough of development, the tourism development of Luoyang will be greatly facilitated. In addition, developing cultural tourism of peony is helpful for inheriting and carrying forward the peony culture. Luoyang is the birthland of peony, carrying forward the peony culture can not be only the excavation of our country's root cultural, but also the affirmation for our national cultural.This paper uses the methods of literature research, on-the-spot investgition, theoretical analysis to discuss the basic concepts involved by the Luoyang peony tourism's development and the theoretical basis of tourism development. In the same time, the paper analyses the cultural connotation of peony in Luoyang briefly, mainly on the points of current situation and problems of the Luoyang peony tourism, and makes some concretely discussions on the feasibility of Luoyang peony tourism development by using the SWOT. The passage also puts forword some new ideas on the Luoyang peony tourism's development, hoping that these can be helpful.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part:Introduces the background and significance of the Luoyang peony tourism's development; summarizes the Cultural Tourism development for peony research status at home and abroad; and summarizes the contents, methods and tecniques of reseach of this paper.The second part:Defineds the basic concepts involved by the Luoyang peony tourism's development, and analyses the related theoretical basis of the development of cultural tourism.The thrid part:Analyses the current situation of the Luoyang peony tourism's development and the cultural connotation of Luoyang's peony at first, then analyses the related problems of the Luoyang peony cultural tourism's development, finally analyses the advantages, disadvantages, chances and threats of the Luoyang peony tourism's development detailly by using the SWOT.The forth part:Puts forward some suggestions for the Luoyang peony tourism's development from four ways, including doing well in the integrated planning of the Luoyang peony cultural tourism, improving tourism environment, enriching tourism products and broadening channels of tourist publicity and so on.The fifth part:Summarizes this paper.
