| The peony industry is a characteristic pillar industry in Heze.In recent years,the Heze Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government have attached great importance to the development of the peony industry and the city peony industrialization office has spared no efforts to push it forward.The peony industry of the city has realized healthy development and embarked on the path of accelerating development,thus forming a unique peony Industrial development pattern.In order to further understand the problems occurred in the development of Heze Peony industry,and propose corresponding countermeasures to provide reference for the decision-making of the competent authorities,this article has carried out research on the development of the Peony industry in Heze through field research,interviews with key informants,and data collection.The research shows that by the end of 2016,the planting area of peony has grown to 486,000 acres,and there are more than 120 various types of peony production and processing companies in the city,and 130 brand names of peony products have been registered in the industry and commerce department;there are 19 scientific research institutions of peony in the city,holding more than 30 patents of peony and over 10 international leading scientific research achievements.Heze organized the 26 th Peony Cultural Tourism Festival in 2017 during which the city received 8.876 million Chinese and foreign tourists and realized tourism consumption of 5.557 billion yuan.The development of peony industry in Heze has achieved remarkable results,but it also faces outstanding problems during the development process,mainly reflected in that the famers who plant peony show low enthusiasm,standardized planting technology has not yet been well implemented,and the peony industry lacks of strong scientific and technological support.In addition,the peony industry in Heze is facing increasing competition pressure,leading enterprises show weak power in driving the industry forward,and the infrastructure construction of Peony Tourism Culture Festival needs to be strengthened.The main reasons lie in the lack of financial support,the weak promotion of standardized planting technology,and the imperfect system of the R & D of the peony industrial technology.Moreover,the main production areas of peony have formed the competing development trend along with the weak competitiveness of the leading enterprises and the insufficient investment on the infrastructure construction for the Cultural Tourism Festival.These problems require to be solved urgently and should be considered by the competent authorities.Combining with the development status of the peony industry in Heze and considering the existing problems and causes,it is believed that Heze must follow the path of industrialized management to develop the production of peony,regulate and plan all aspects of peony production before,during and after delivery,strengthen scientific and technological investment,and persist in promoting flower development in virtue of science and technology.Furthermore,it should also highlight local comparative advantages,improve the overall strength and market competitiveness of the flower industry based on peony in Heze,and further reinforce the leading role of leading enterprises and enhance the grade of Peony Cultural Tourism Festival.Only in this way can we make Peony Industry of Heze remain invincible in the increasingly fierce competition both in the domestic and international peony market and promote the development of the local economy. |
